Retours, détours et détournements: Le found footage dans le cinéma #2

A 16mm film screening presented by Mariya Nikiforova, collection Manager at Light Cone, in conversation with Lucile Combreau, lecturer and researcher at Paul Valéry University.

This screening is organized in partnership with UFR 1 and the Department of Cinema, Audiovisual and New Media. The program highlights how the encounter between figurative imagery and the artistic manipulation of film gives rise to new, sensorial forms with surprising and complex meanings. A rare opportunity to experience experimental films in their original medium in a cinema setting.

Featuring found footage works by Christina Battle, Cécile Fontaine, Naomi Uman, Monika Schwitte, Frédérique Devaux, Louise Bourque, and Phil Solomon.
